First of all im a total noob in the modded minecraft arena. I only played vanilla mc and that was a long time ago.Recently me and my friends decided to play mc again but we want a different experience than vanilla. We are looking for a mod (or modpacks?) that has rpg elements in it. Like leveling up, giving skill points in the areas we would like and maybe quests. The problem is that i found some mods that does that but i dont know if any mod that i see can be played multiplayer. Is there such difference like sp and mp mods?I dont want to join any servers.
We want to rent one for ourselves.Any suggestions?TLDR: We are looking for a chill multiplayer rpg experience, any mod suggestions?. Luckily there's no distinction between SP/MP mods anymore. Every mod works in both singleplayer and multiplayer, so don't worry about it.I don't have many modpack suggestions, but is a pretty light RPG modpack with pure 100% exploration. It is very old though, about 5.5 years.
I think it's still good but you might want something more up to date.looks good, though I haven't played it so I don't know much about it. I've played with most of the mods in the modpack, though, and it's at the top of the popular mods list on Curseforge. Looks solid and it's pure exploration.Maybe not quite what you're looking for, but there's. I don't think this modpack is pure 100% adventure, though; I think you're expected to build a base and use tech/magic mods to get better gear. I'm gonna recommend you throw together a small pack with the following mods:.Thaumcraft.Twilight Forest.Roguelike Dungeons.Recurrent Complex.Battle Towers.Millenaire.Bailey's Dailies.Project: Vibrant Journeys.Biomes O' Plenty.Serene Seasons.Familiar Fauna.Blood Moon.JEI.Antique AtlasThese mods will provide you with hours of RPG fun.
Thaumcraft and Twilight Forest both have their own lore, progression, and quests, and are highly polished. They allow you to roleplay as a wizard adventuring in a fantastical world slaying monsters with arcane spells. Roguelike Dungeons, Recurrent Complex, and Battle Towers add fun side adventures in the form of challenging dungeons, procedurally generated mazes, and towers filled with mobs. Millenaire adds new villages and villagers in diverse irl cultures that you can trade with, go on quests for, and direct the development of. Bailey's Dailies simply adds daily quests for regular villagers. Project: Vibrant Journeys adds tons of new and interesting world gen to make exploring more fun.
Biomes O' Plenty, Serene Seasons, and Familiar Fauna all work together to make your world alive and exciting. Blood moon occasionally makes hostile mobs spawn like crazy for a single night.
JEI is just a recipe mod. Antique Atlas is a more RPG-themed map mod that isn't quite as OP as Journeymap, and imho, strikes a good balance between never getting lost and not having as much fun because you never get lost. You might be interested in my RPG-class mod:It adds a WC3/Moba style class system (5 abilities, tank, dps, healer archetypes) for your character. Combined with other mods like Ice and Fire, Lycanites or the various dimension mods and you will have a much more RPG and combat heavy experience. We built everything specifically for multiplayer, with no character truly excelling at all parts you will see a lot of synergy from teaming up with players choosing different classes. This system should mesh well with other magic mods as well, although the combat powers might make some of the other magic mods combat-specific elements less enticing.
